Three Parts Light, an exhibition
Three Parts Light is an exhibition by two painters, Lesley Goodman and Oscar Shub, and photographer Jack Hochfeld: observations are brought to life through pigment, a brush and lens. The pieces range from abstract creations to vivid, high-definition photographic prints of exotic wildlife and ethereal nature. As the colour spectrum creates white light, so too does this work find harmony in the blend of experiences observed, interpreted and preserved. The result is a beautiful visual rendition of life that is part shape, part texture, part colour and part shadow - and most importantly, three parts light. I am grateful to Lesley and Oscar for inviting me to join them in the exhibition. Kevin Lucas designed and and created the title Three Parts Light, the logos, websites, layout and helped in every aspect of my presentation and selection. Thursday 18 April 2019- a special day, the birth of baby-girl Stuhler, rebranded Tamar Janet Shetland Stuhler.
I entered these images in The Mono Awards 2019. The awards "reveal Australia and New Zealand’s best black and white photographers". The awards are run by Australian Photography and Capture magazines." Each of my images were awarded either highly commended or commended certificates.

A tribute to Leon Kawalsky. I love the cover photograph. The weather turned cold and wet very quickly in the Snowy Mountains. In the absence of any shelter or spots to sit, Phil and Hilton supported Leon for a quick and effective change of waterproof trousers and clothing.

Art Hop is an exhibition presented by various artists from their studios in the eastern suburbs of Sydney. Diverse art is on display: Photography, ceramics and ceramic vessels, figurative painting, mixed media fibre art, jewellery and art, vessels and sculpture from repurposed materials, plant fibre art. This link presents my photographs from that event. Some of the images were taken while travelling with Glenn Bartley in Costa Rica and Colombia, Greg Basco in Costa Rica and Michael Milicia in Iceland. Greg Basco was responsible for the flash setup that captured the beautiful image of the bat.

A visit to Duxford, Cambridgeshire in the UK for a flip by my brother Steve in a Spitfire in celebration of his 80th birthday. Duxford is the largest aviation museum in Europe, part of the Imperial War Museum and site of an important military airfield during the Battle of Britain.
